Central New York Railroad

The 2 rail layout is squeezed into a 6 1/2 by 11 foot space around the furnace and water heater.  It is sectional and can be moved for access to the utilities by removing a few bolts.  Its width varies from 9 inches to 15 inches.

The layout is 48 inches from the floor.  This higher than usual viewing angle, combined with the backdrops, limits an observer's view and makes the layout appear a lot bigger than it really is.  The train actually seems to go "away" as it makes its way around to the other side of the layout.

The layout represents a rural branch line with a weed covered right of way.
